Engineering Building II

This building was dedicated in the summer of 1987 with a cost $10 million. There are 6 different engineering departments here at USF: Mechanical, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical, Industrial, Civil, and Chemical. This building is home of the Electrical, Computer Science and Computer Engineering departments. We have approximately 3,716 students enrolled in engineering including masters and PhD.

Back in the late 80’s, when the engineering building II was under construction a study of USF diversity population was made. The hall of was born symbolizing two major themes. First, is the visible sign of the international character of the community of this college. Each flag represents student, staff and faculty countries. Second, the multiplicity of flags, symbolize the global nature of engineering. You can work as an engineer in any part of the world. Today the diversity of USF is still increasing so; if a study was made today we will have to include more flags.
